Devices are the physical screens or players that display your signage content. Gecko Signage supports a wide range of hardware, from dedicated players to smart TVs.

Connecting a New Device

To connect a device, you need to install the Gecko Signage player app on your hardware. Once launched, the app will display a unique 6-character pairing code.

Step-by-Step Pairing

  1. Navigate to the Devices section in your dashboard.
  2. Click the "Add Device" button.
  3. Enter the pairing code displayed on your screen.
  4. Give your device a recognizable name (e.g., "Lobby Screen" or "Menu Board 1").
  5. Assign the device to a location and organization.

Monitoring Device Status

The Device section provides real-time monitoring of all your screens. You can instantly see which devices are online, what's currently playing, and the last time they synced with our servers.

Device Information

  • Status: Online, Offline, or Syncing.
  • Current Playlist: The content currently being displayed.
  • Screenshot: Remotely view what's on the screen (refreshable).
  • Hardware Health: CPU usage, temperature, and storage availability.

⚠️ Connection Issues?

If your device stays offline, ensure it has a stable internet connection and that port 443 is open for HTTPS traffic to our servers.
